Age limit for NICL Administrative Officers Generalists and Specialists Scale I

Candidate Minimum Age : 21 Years or Candidate Maximum Age : 30 Years. Age as on 01.12.2023

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.12.1993 and not later than 01.12.2002 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification for NICL Administrative Officers Generalists and Specialists Scale I

  • Doctors (MBBS)

M.B.B.S / M.D. / M.S. or PG – Medical Degree from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign degrees which are recognized as such by the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) with the prescribed benchmark. Furthermore, the candidate must be holding a valid registration from National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for Allopathy) as on date of the scheduled interview.

  • Legal

Graduate / Post Graduate in Law from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

  • Finance

Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) OR B.COM / M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

  • Actuarial

Bachelor / Masters degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Actuarial Science or any other quantitative discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

  • Information Technology

B.E / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/ MCA from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

  • Automobile Engineering

B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in Automobile Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

  • Generalist Officers

Graduate / Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

  • Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers

Master Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).

Master Degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).

Master Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).

Master Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).

Pay Scale for NICL Administrative Officers Generalists and Specialists Scale I

The starting Basic pay would be Rs. 50,925 /- in the scale of Rs.50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 85,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centres. Other benefits such as Pension under New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. The Officers are also entitled for Company’s / leased accommodation as per norms.

Selection Procedure for NICL Administrative Officers Generalists and Specialists Scale I

  • Part A – Applicable for all applicants other than for Hindi Officers.
  • The written exam will be conducted in two phases
  • Phase – I: Preliminary Examination online
  • Phase – II: Main Examination online
  • Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers)

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online (applicable for all disciplines except Hindi Officers). This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section).

Candidates have to qualify in each test/section by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Company (approximately 15 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

  • Phase – II: Main Examination online (applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers)

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 250 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 Marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test Descriptive Test will be administered.

How To Apply for NICL Administrative Officers Generalists and Specialists Scale I

  • Candidates to go to the Company website https://nationalinsurance.nic.co.in/ and click on the option APPLY ONLINE which will open a new screen.
  • To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
  • In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.

  • Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION BUTTON.

  • The Name of the candidate and his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application and should be the same as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets as well as on the Identity Proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

  • Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.

  • Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature detailed under point “C”.

  • Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.

  • Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before COMPLETE REGISTRATION.

  • Modify details, if required, and click on ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature has been uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.

  • Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment.

  • Click on ‘Submit’ button.
